Dr. Roger Kocheff has been practicing veterinary medicine in Maple Ridge for over 35 years. A graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, he started his professional career in Edmonton before moving to British Columbia. Being very active in the community and in his profession, Dr. Kocheff has served as President of the Provincial Veterinary Association in 1980 and has served as Chair, and committee member of the Discipline and Ethics Committee for over 15 years. Proud Grandfather of four, his experience and compassion make Dr. Kocheff the ‘cornerstone’ of our practice.
Dr. Marielle Tremblay graduated from the University of Montreal in 1995. She brings enthusiasm and extensive experience to our patients. Whether your concern is simple or complex, she will explain all options available and give you all the information you need to make a confident decision.
Veterinary Technicians
Hilary is a Veterinary Technician and we are thrilled to have her! She is a graduate of the Animal Health Technology program at UCC. Hilary is the primary dental care assistant, and does almost all dental cleaning and polishing. Whenever you drop a pet off in the morning, Hilary will be the bright, smiling face you'll see.
Christel is also a graduate of the UCC Animal Health Technology program and a class mate of Hilary's. Christel brings a wealth of experience as well as a very strong belief in animal welfare. She is a welcome addition to our growing staff.
Julie joins our staff from Ontario. Julie received her Veterinary Technician diploma from Georgian College in Orillia in 2008. She worked in an emergency Veterinary hospital in Barrie before joining our staff. When not at work Julie enjoys the outdoor life in BC. Julie is a great compliment to our health care team, providing professional care to your pets.
Receptionists
Su is originally from England and has been part of the MRVH family since October 2007. She is the proud parent of two English cats, Pilchard and Vegas and one Canadian cat aptly named Canuck. Sue is a great addition to our staff.
Suzanne has worked in the Veterinary field for nearly 15 years, as a Veterinary assistant, receptionist and hospital manager. Her reassuring manner will make you feel comfortable in any situation. You can be sure that if she does not know the answer to your questions, she will find out or have one of the Doctors call you.
Nancy joined our staff after in 2005 after deciding on a career change that reflected her care for animals. She started as a volunteer, and soon after joined our staff. Nancy is very involved in the dog show world and spends her spare time volunteering at Ridge-Meadows hospital in the canine therapy program. Veterinary Assistants

Hospital Gardener
Vern is
the man who keeps our gardens beautiful!
Vern has been a part of our hospital staff for over 25 years.
Thanks to all of Vern’s hard work, Maple Ridge Veterinary
Hospital won a prize in the Maple Ridge Garden Contest 2003, in the
commercial garden division!! Congratulations Vern!
Our Hospital Cats
Finiks: pronounced Phoenix, like the mythical bird who rose from ashes. Finiks came to us a very sick kitten, found abandoned. We nursed him back to health and now he rules the Reception area! He has terrible habit of crawling into visiting cats’ carriers! Be sure to check yours for a stowaway before you leave!
Tigger presides over the back area of our hospital. He is always interested in all those pets who visit, but he prefers not to meet owners! Although his asthma slows him down a bit, it does not stop him from purring and asking for lots of pats!! Maybe if you are lucky you will someday meet the elusive “Tigger” and see his toothy smile"!.
